The Restoration Legacy Crew is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to
constructing and maintaining hiking trails within the
Los Angeles Gateway
District of the
Angeles National Forest under the
safety and policy oversight of the
U. S. Forest Service. We work mostly
within the
Los Angeles Gateway District
of the Forest Service.
We work on Tuesdays, Fridays and some Sundays. The group usually meets
at the trailhead for the trail that we will be working on for the day, starting
work at 7:00 in the morning and continuing until the group reaches a good
stopping point which can be any time from around 11:00 a.m. to around 2:00
p.m.
Please contact us via E-Mail to find out when and where we will be working,
and check out our
'Trails' page for specific details on how to get to where we typically
meet depending upon which trail we will be working.
We typically do not have the resources to supervise minors, and the work
that the Crew does can be considered to be difficult, so we would ask that
if you wish to join our work efforts and would like to bring a minor, please
contact us first.
In addition to repairing and maintaining hiking trails, we also remove
Graffiti, we collect, bag, and
haul out trash, and on occasion we pack in picnic tables and assemble them
along some hiking trails.
